STS2
Build Guides
Every Slay the Spire 2 character guide in one place — archetypes, core card analysis, relic priorities, and pathing notes. Updated for Patch 0.98.1. Two S-Tier characters, two A-Tier characters, one high-ceiling B-Tier.
STS2's highest damage ceiling. Doom Stacking compounds exponentially every turn — a single late-run Doom draw can eliminate a Boss fight outright. Two S-Tier archetypes, both viable to Ascension 20.
The most forgiving S-Tier character. Strength Scaling converts every attack card into compounding damage; Barricade converts Block into a permanent defensive resource. Both archetypes viable to Ascension 20.
STS2's control character. Gold Spear turns economy into sustained damage; Royal Poison converts every Gold play into accelerating attrition. High skill ceiling — punishes mismanaged economy.
STS2's puzzle character. Orb cycling produces deterministic outputs — Lightning for burst, Frost for sustained defense, Dark for exponential scaling. Extremely consistent once the orb queue is understood.
STS2's precision rogue. B-Tier overall but has the highest skill ceiling of any character — Catalyst timing alone separates mediocre from dominant Silent runs. Ring of the Snake grants exceptional turn-1 hand advantage.
